Angelica Lamb didn’t really read books as a child, or as an adult. Growing up in middle England the only time she read was if she had to, at school. She didn’t much like writing either, if at all, and stumbled at the first hurdle each and every time…the first words on a page.
As a lifelong escape artist from all things literary it came as a surprise to her that one day she got up and wrote, a whole novel, from start to finish within five weeks in-between a busy work schedule over the summer of 2025.
Her first book Into The Arms is about a girl and her journey through womanhood, the ups and the downs; searching for truth and love, often in all the wrong places.
Angelica hopes the novel, which is both incredibly light and sensitively tragic, may help, encourage and inspire others.
It is due out in November 2025 with IngramSparks publishers.

'Like a series of Japanese screen prints the structure of the book gives way to a series of seemingly random awarenesses, each hugely healing in their unearthing. A beautiful and masterful narrative.’
01
'An exquisitely sensitive, rich and raw tapestry that weaves its way through the life of a young girl into womanhood in full transparency, exposing lies dressed up as love.'
02
'A thoroughly enjoyable and totally gorgeous book with incredible insights into life. I smiled, I laughed out loud, I felt humbled and at times saddened, but most of all I felt honoured to be reading it.'
03
'Unlike any book I have read before in style and flow. Utterly unique, Into The Arms, is a disarmingly true account of abuse and the prevailing light of a young woman. '
04
‘A true masterpiece. Raw, real and relatable, that very cleverly reminds you to listen deeply to yourself and the truth within.’
05
‘Have you ever blamed yourself for anything? Felt wrong for even breathing? Then read this book! It helps you realise just how fabricated – what’s more, useless - those self-depreciating thoughts are. Rei shows us how to turn the tide to live without them, restoring the powerful footsteps we are all born to walk.’
